To Find kilometer distance: Miss Magee has to drive 7 ½ km to get to school.

Miss Magee has to drive 7 ½ km to get to school. On Monday she drove to school and arrived at 8am, she realised she’d forgotten her laptop, drove back home, picked up the laptop, then returned to school. How far did she drive before school started?

Miss Magee drive 7 ½ km that day she drove to school reached at 8 AM means one time she drove 7 ½KM then she again went back home to get her laptop so again she has to derive 7 ½KM and return to school means again she drove for 7 ½ km
means 7 ½+7 ½+7 ½

The word problem contains some extra information that can be ignored, but otherwise it's staightforward.

Three car trips; each trip is 7.5km. We get the total km driven using addition. :cool:
