Hi, im not sure if this is in the right forum but here is my problem
Let Q be the set of all rational numbers
A = { x:x E Q and -1< x > 5 }
and it asks me a few questions that i think i can do by myself.Howver,i am having trouble reading the < > signs.I know this is very basic but im confused.
-1 < x > 5
to me in english this reads
x has elements that are less that -1 (< is the less than sign) and greater than 5
but wouldnt this mean the seat is contains every number apart from whats between -1 to 5??
