tic marks on a circle graph

Hi all. Preping for upcoming state assessments. Looking at one of the assessment anchors, it says that students should be able to create a circle graph including a center point and tic marks? What exactly do they mean when they refer to tic marks on a circle graph? Thanks for any info.

Is a "tic mark' a point on the circle? With a compass, that should be enough.
