ab= cde

in order to solve the equation above for c, you must multiply both sides of the equation by the same expression;

ab x __ = cde x __

the resulting equation is;

c= __

the first 2 blanks i put cde and ab but it did not work

The same expression goes in each blank.

To get c, what expression do we multiply c*d*e by?

For example, to get x, we multiply the expression 2*x by 1/2.

If they'd given you "a = 3c", what would you have done? ;)
