Determine the values of k such that x^3 - 4x^2 - 2x+ k=0 has a root between -1 and -2.

How would you solve this out.... the k , has me really confused.

You just posted a simple speed problem; is this one from the same teacher?

It might be a simple speed problem, but i'm trying to understand the concept of how to solve it. I don't know which teacher you're referring to?

Relax Tt; you posted these 2 problems:

"The Values of k such that x^3 - 4x^2 - 2x + k = 0 has....

Word Problems: Travel: A car travels 300 km in ...."

They are not of the same difficulty level; level of 1st one is way higher;
I was asking if you were given these 2 problems in the same math class...
thus from the same teacher...

If it's none of my business, so be it; I won't commit suicide :shock:

Yeah thier from the same teacher, same book, even in the same section...
but in the book it doesn't show any examples of it.

Sorry I thought you were talking about something else.
