The desert temperature oscillates sinusoidally between 40°F at 5am to 80°F at 5pm, then down again to 40°F at 5am the next day. Let the temperature, H, in Fahrenheit, be a function of the time t, in hours, since 5am.

Sketch a graph of H against t over a 72-hour period, from t = 0.

Find a formula for H in terms of t.

You've been told that you're to graph the temperature with respect to time. So what is your input variable? What is your output variable?

You've been told that the temperature varies sinusoidally. So what sort of graph will you be doing?

You've been told what the max and min temperatures are. So what will be the max and min values for the curve in your graph?

You've been told the time period over which you're to do the graph. So what will be the max and min values for the input variable?

Having done the above, where are you getting bogged down? Please be specific. Thank you! ;)
