Question : The temperature of a city in November is -12°C . In December ,the temperature of the city decreases by a quarter of the temperature in November . What is the temperature of the city in December?
I thought we should take -12°C-((1/4)x(-12))
Which is equal to = -12°C+3°C
= -9°C.
But the Answer shows the Working like this :
-12+((1/4)x(-12)
=-12-3
=-15°C
Therefore , I don't understand that working.
What am I supposed to do with the Decreasing of anegative temperature?
Your help is much appreciated . Thank You
