Taylor polynomials

Using Taylor polynomials of degrees n = 0,1,2 to approximate f(x) = x +1/x at specific point (1,2), and calculate the value of the polynomials at x = 2 to approxiamte f(2) =1/2 .

Maybe you could show us what a Taylor polynomial is and where exactly you got stuck.

When I calculate . i find the approximation f(2)=5/2 and no 1/2, something escapes me and I don't know what yet
