ok so i have a cyldrical tank and it has an outside diameter of 40cm and a length of 70cm. the side bottom and top ends have a thickness of x. i need to find x if the mass of the tank is 18kg. the density of the material of the tank is 7920 kg/m^3.
so basiclly i come up with the formula, (pi*.2^2*.7)-(pi*(.20-x)^2*(.7-2*x))
i then try and get the polynomial pi(2x^3-1.5x^2+.36x).
from there i multiply it by 7920 then subtract 18 and find x, however my x is incorrect. i get like .0022031 when the answer should be like .00227853. did i mess up geting my formula?
