Not even sure if this is algebra....

Please help me find a formula to find S.

T = ( S x R ) + ( S )

44,822 = ( S x 17% ) + ( S )

Thank you for the reply. I am not currently studying Algebra. It has been years since I have been in college doing any math.

I am making an excel spreadsheet for a salon. The table consists of using last years month totals for Service $'s, Retail $'s and a Total of both combined. After entering last years totals, and next years desired % of Growth and RTS% ( Retail to service %) the spreadsheet will "reveal" the Total (service + retail) per month at the selected growth rate. So for the spreadsheet I have the formula set to easily formulate for the Total growth rate, but then I will need to formulate my service and retail cells (at each month) for the sum to equal this 20% total growth while also satisfying my set retail to service % for the month.

s = t / (1 + d)

:oops: This is exactly what i needed. Pretty elementary. I just have completely forgotten basic algebra. Thank you!! :D
