Need to build a sytem of linear inequality. Need to know how to set up the equation to solve this problem. A customer wants to order a combination of spruce and redwood seedlings. The customer wants at most 18 redwood seedlings and at least 6 spruce seedlings. The box your friend usually uses for shippping can hold no more than 20 lbs. One spruce seedling weighs 1 pound and one redwood seedling weighs 3 pounds. Graph the situation inthe grid below.

Nevertheless, start with defining your variables.

Let the number of Redwood seedling = R

Let the number of Spruce seedling = S

then

customer wants at most 18 Redwood seedlings → R ≥ 0 and R ≤ 18

similarly

customer wants at least 6 Spruce seedlings → S ≥ 6
