Ted, when I now click the [Reply to Thread] button in this thread, the system is copying a partial quote from my first reply into the composition field. This behavior only started after I had posted several replies to the thread.

EDIT: This issue resolved next day (1000 PDT)

Here is another current glitch.

There also seems to be corruption within this thread.

EDIT: Done testing. I now think that soroban's text-formatting lead to the issue with this thread. The corruption seems similar to when LaTex coding sometimes renders with added garbage, secondary to text-formatting in the vicinity. I view this as a vBulletin bug. I'm still searching the vBulletin support forum for info on the broken multi-quote feature.

I was trying some troubleshooting on the broken [Multi-Quote This Message] feature, when I discovered inconsistencies in posted quotes of Subhotosh's original post.

I cannot post a quote (with pointer) of his original without the system breaking the quote into pieces. Even when I try retyping his entire post from scratch, manually inserting the pointer, the system breaks it into two pieces.

I've tried logging off and cache clearing.

There are other new instances of weirdness around the boards. I'm experiencing some new issues with the marking of read posts and with WYSIWYG operations, for example.

Are you working on anything in the system?

Wow. More than half-a-dozen edits to get four uploaded images to attach to one of my posts.

In three cases, attaching a single image resulted in both in-line and linked versions (adjacent), only the link was broken. Hard to delete a broken link, when there is no object representing it in the composition window!

Had to start from scratch three times. This has never happened to me, before.

Perhaps these recent corruptions are the way it's going to be for a [hopefully short] time. (Glad it's summer break. :))

EDIT: I returned to add some captions, and I discovered that one of the four finally-intact images ran off during the night; in its place was a dead link labeled with the filename of the image next to the one that disappeared. Lol. There is nothing on the Manage-Attachment window or in the composition box representing the link in the screen shot below.
