Hi! This is my first post here so I hope I chose the right forum...

I have this maths problem that I don't know how to sole: Determine the linear function f(x) if f(x+2)-f(x-3) = 20 and the point (-2, 6) lies on the line.

This is all the information I am given, and I don't know how to solve this if you don't know what x is... Could someone help me? :)

Assume that:

f(x) = m * x + b................................Since f(x) is a linear function

f(x+2) = m*(x+2) + b

f(x-3) = ??

f(x+2) - f(x-3) = ???

and continue....
