Substitution and evaluationg expressions

ok I am working on substitution to evaluate Algebraic expressions and formulas my problem right now is
3.5 -2x for x=2.4.

so far I have 3.5 -2(2.4) but from there I am not sure where to go

I assume that you know how the priority rules for arithmetic are used.
