What would h be if :

s/h = 1/2

and

s = h/2

h = __?

I got as far as h/2/h = 1/2

If s/h = 1/2, it is TRUE that s = h/2

Now, if you are trying to solve that for 'h', multiply both sides of the equation by 2....

2*s = 2*(h/2)

The two equations above - are equivalent.

h = __?

I got as far as h/2/h = 1/2 <<<< What exactly are you doing here?

I think she wants what is h without s being in the equal side.

and she tripple fractioned to equal h/2/h = 1/2

do you guys know how to balance that ^^^ to get what h is? without s in it?

I am not sure what "tripple fractioned" means.

I DO know that if you have

s/h = 1/2

and you want to solve that for h, you can multiply both sides of the equation by 2h:

(2h)*(s/h) = (2h)*(1/2)

Simplify both sides of that...and you will get "h" by itself on the right side.

Mrs. ?,

Ms. Queen is trying to solve a problem - that Galactus has already solved for her. She did not understand the solution - and I am sure this part is coming out of that.

Geesh...ohhhhhhhh Miss LaQueen:
if a/b = x/y, then:

a = bx/y

b = ay/x

x = ay/b

y = bx/a

Tattoo that on your wrist :wink:
