Stuck please help rearranging formulas

let us plot y=x^2-8x+4 complete the square
y=[x^2-8x +4^2] -4^2+4
y=[x-4]^2 -12 a parabola open up, [p=1] vertex at 4,-12

let us plot y=a[x-h]^2 a parabola, open up if a is positive [p=a], vertex at h,0
I don't believe you can rearrange the swcond parabola to be identical to the first

The same argument for the second equation
