Rectangular Prism
V=lwh
Given: V=36, l=2h, w=1/3l
Solve for h & l
Teacher started problem with 36=2h*2/3h*h
Just not sure where to go? It makes sense t2o me that the length is 6, height is 3, and width is 2...but she wants it written out!
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated...Thank You

Rethinking

Denis,

I greatly appreciate your speed in answering and have now realized my error was in not cubing the h...

I have now simplified it to 36=(4/3) h 3 and from there it is h 3 = 27, then h = 3...Is this correct?
