Ques-
1)find the =n of the st. line through the pt. A(3,4) & is inclined to the x-axis at an angle of 3pi/4.
2)find also the co-ordinates of two pt.s on it on opposite sides of A ata dis. underroot 2 from it
MY WORK
1)use x-x'/cos theta=y-y'/sin theta
pts are A(3,4) let x'=3 &y'=4
x-3/cos135= y-4/sin135
=n is x+y-7=0
now i don't know how to find the 2nd part

Yes, that looks like the right ='n.

Can you draw a right triangle such that the hypotenuse is oriented along the line (with length sqrt[2]) with one endpoint at point A? What do you conclude about the angle measures in this triangle?

Once you realize what kind of triangle it is, you should know how to find the lengths of the legs, which in turn allows you to determine the coordinates of a point on the line sqrt(2) units from point A.

Repeat to find the coordinates of the other point.
