(three percent) of (total) is (105), which is equal to
(three percent) * (total/unknown value) = (105)

Following this, plug in the values you know and use a variable (X) for the one you don't/are trying to figure out. Since you want to use a decimal for percentage, it should be 3/100. Once you have the values plugged in, solve for X.
