the question is: The hourly rates of pay for part-time workers in a sample of 10 different shops in a shopping mall are as follows:
£6.00, £5.80, £6.20, £6.50, £6.00, £7.10, £5.90, £6.50, £6.10, £6.50
I found the mean and standard deviation of these which I got as the mean was £6.26
and for the standard deviation was: 1.176
Now the question is asking me:
The shops decide to offer all their part-time workers a 5% pay rise per hour and plus a 50p bonus per hour on top. find the mean and standard deviation of the newly hourly rates
Im not sure how to form and expression from this sentence could anyone help please
Thanks Nancy
