I need to make sure that I'm doing this correctly.

Data / frequency:
. . .1 / 1
. . .2 / 4
. . .3 / 3
. . .4 / 4
. . .5 / 3
. . .6 / 6
. . .7 / 2
. . .8 / 3
. . .9 / 4

total of 30

The highest value is 9, and the lowest value is 1.

MD: (5+6)/2 = 11/2 = 5.5
M: 159/30 = 53/10 = 5.3
MR: (9+1)/2 = 10/2 = 5
IQR: 7-3= 4
Variance: 5.9 ???
standard deviation: sqrt[5.9] = 2.4 ???

Are these the correct calculations?

Thank you for your help.

How are we supposed to know what all the symbols mean? Abbreviations rarely are consistent from one book to the next.

Mean = 5.3 -- Good
Median = 5.5 -- Good
Mode = 6 -- You didn't mention this?
Variance = 5.676 -- You were close.
Standard Deviation = 2.383 -- Just as close, for obvious reasons.
IQR (This one is pretty standard) = 7-3 = 4

OK, so what are you doing with the Variance?
