Assuming a standard deck of 52 cards

Draw one card that is a queen and a heart.

would it be... 4/52 +13/52 - 1/52 = 16/52 or 4/13 not sure if this is correct, or what would be the correct way..

AND: There is noly one Q&H. 1/52

OR: You need the principle fo "Inclusion/Exclusion"

4 + 13 -- Whoops, we counted Q&H twice. (4 + 13 - 1)/52

Ok thanks, so on the first question the answer is 1/52. I see, because there is only 1 queen of hearts... thanks

and the second question would be 4/52 + 13/52 -1/52 = 16/52 or 4/13
you have to minus the 1/52 or we will count it twice.
Thanks for the help, I am taking online classes, and sometimes just reading the book can be confusing. I think this class would be much easier if I actually went to a class..

Please fix the vocabulary. "minus" is never a verb. Use "subtract".
