Since they gave you answer options (not provided in your post), one method would be to plug each option into the equation, and find the one option which works in the equation.
If you're given "x + 3 = 5", do you know how to solve that? If you're given "2x = 4", do you know how to solve that? If so, apply those same methods to "2x - 1 = -2".
