First, please read Read Before Posting

Second, please start a new thread for a new problem rather than stick a new problem onto an old thread.

Third, we provide help, not answers.

Let's start with a very simple problem. You have four balls, one blue, one red, one white, and one black. How many ways can you select two balls and place one to the right and one to the left? How did you get that answer?

Answer those two questions and we can proceed.

To begin with, ignore the permutations part- think of this as just choosing two numbers. How many choices do you have for the first number? Once you have chosen a number, how many choices do you have for the second number?

NOW, how many permutations are there of 2 things.
