f(x) = 2x + 6
f ^-1 =( x - 6 ) / 2

(f o f^-1)(x)
(f o f^-1)(100)

f(x) = 2x + 6
2((100-6)/2) + 6
2(47) + 6 = 100

does that look good?

I don't know. What was the original exercise? What were the instructions? What are you doing?

Please be specific. Thank you.

Eliz.

Since the function provided is clearly invertible (since it obeys the Horizontal Line Test), the computations are unnecessary. Just apply the definition of a function and its inverse.
