Hi Tutors;

You all are so great. Thank you for all of your help. I need help with a problem but I'm not sure what to call it. I'll explain it the best way that I can. I pray you can help me. This is the situation: Lets use this example. I'm from Mars and has six fingers. I DO NOT use the number line 10. My number line only goes to seven. Here are my numbers 0 (with a slash tthrough it, Number 1(called Zang is /) Number 2 (called Fube is X) Number 3 (called Zum is a Triangle) Number 4 (called Wee is a square) Number 5(called Ring is a star(*) Number 6 is called Tick, which is a square with an X inside of it. And the last is the Yum (which is a zang with a 0 combination like this /0. NOW, here is a sample of how Martian Numbers would look starting with number 8, since I've already given you 0 through seven (or Bum through Yum). 8).//, 9)./X, 10)./triangle, 11)./square, 12)/* 13. /tick 14.XO 15. X/ 16.XX 17).XTriangle 18).Xwee, 19).XX 20). Xtick 21).zum0. Can you see the pattern so far. In other words 8 - 13 starts with a slash or (Zang) 14 - 20 starts with an X or (Fube) . 21 -27 starts with the triangle or (Zum) Can you see how each number in the one's place take its turn to be the first number in a two digit number. One important piece is that every seven number is a yum (which means it goes to the tens column. I hope your with me so far. Here is the question now after this explanation: 1). Do you think all these Martian numbers can be converted into earth numbers. 2). how would the method workby converting X(triangle)X to an earth number. One additional key piece of information is this.

YumDelish Delish Yummy Yum Zang
10000 place 1000place 100 place 10 place one's place
(7.343) 7.49 7.7 7 1
=2401 =343 49

*zANG = 1 Blocks
*YUM = 7 Blocks
Yummy = 7 x 7 (or 7 rows of 7 blocks
Delish = 7 x 9 (or 49 of the rows of 7 blocks
Yum Delish = 343 of the rolls of 7 blocks

Am I clear so far or do you need more information. I'm trying to figure out if Martian numbers can be converted to every possible number on earth. Is it possible?

Time to get serious, wrb :shock:

Believe it or not. This is not a joke. I am dead serious. But because you don't understand my question, for this is a new Math that's being introduced to me that I simply don't understand either, Let me ask you in a simpler way.

Imagine me coming from Mars. I have only six fingers but my numberline count only to seven. There is no such thing as a 1- 10. Now if you refer back to what I wrote aboout the Mars problem, do you think I can convert every possible Martian number to an earth number. For this one you really have to think outside the box.

This is no joke. Please help me. Can I answer any questions for you regarding this to make it more reasonable. If yes, please explain your logic.

What have you tried so far? Where are you stuck?

Please be complete. Thank you! :D
