Marcus' boat left the Yoder Pier and traveled toward Flor Island. O.2 hours later Ruby's ship left traveling 0.2mph faster in an effort to catch up to it. After 13.8 hours Ruby's ship finally caught up. what was the average speed of Marcus' boat?

Ive been working on this a while and I just can't seem to get it. please help? thank you!

Marcus: @x mph......................................>14 hours
Ruby : @ x+.2 mph...................................>13.8 hours

14x = 13.8(x+.2)
