What did you try? I suspect you multipled the top equatino by 3 and then added the result to the second equation. This would be great, but you must understand the results. Do that and let's see what you get.

Yup, I got : 12x1+3x2=9

Well, that's the multiplication. Now the addition, followed by the interpretation of the result.
