problem is solve: 6x(2x-5)(x+9)=0
I did this:
6x=0 therefore x=0
2x-5=0 therefore x=5/2
x+9=0 therefore x= -9

The answer key in the back of my text says this is wrong.
What am I doing wrong?
Please help. Have a quiz tomorrow and need to understand.
Thank you.

Please look at the problem in the book again.

Make sure that you checked the correct problem of the correct section in the answer section.

Also, exactly what did the answer section have to this problem?

Those are the solutions to the equation you give. Was the problem given already factored or did you factor yourself?

Really? The answer key did not give an answer but just said that your answer is wrong? That is very peculiar! How did the answer key know what your answer was?
