I've done this problem over and over and I keep getting the same answer although my answers are never one of the responses for the multiple choice question. Am I doing it wrong or is the right answer not one of the choices? Here's my work:

Solve the inequality. Write the answer in interval notation.
8 < 3x or -16 + 2x < -23

8 < 3x
÷3 ÷3

8/3 < x

-16 + 2x < -23
+16 +16

2x < -7
÷2 ÷2

x < -7/2

And the interval notation would be (-infinity, -7/2] U (8/3, infinity)

This is a question from an online quiz that I've already completed and submitted. There was a question on the last quiz that didn't have the right choice as an answer which is the only reason I think this might have happened again. I don't want to know the right answer if this is not it, simply just if my work is wrong.
