Solving inequalities

How do you solve an inequality like this : x-1/2-9x-3/2<0
Note the x0x\cancel\le 0 Can you explain why?
Looking at the factored form x32(x9)<0x^{-\frac{3}{2}}(x-9)<0 we can see that 0<x<90<x<9.

A more detailed explanation pleaseee?

x-1/2 - 9x-3/2 = 1/x1/2 - 9/x3/2 = x/x3/2 - 9/x3/2 =(x-9)/x3/2 < 0
