Hi, I am new to these boards and I am going to try them out today so sorry if I put something into the wrong spot. I want to improve my math all the way around and be able to go on from the Intermediate Algebra class. I am not the brightest nor the weakest person in math but I do have trouble and it is not my strongest subject. Anyway, I do not know how to put math terms on the board to well so I am going to upload it. I hope that you can all see it. I have tried working on this and these problems keep on coming back multiple times on tests and I always been getting them wrong.

-3a^0 b^16 c^-28 I times them together and the co efficient left alone.

After that I thought that I had the right answer but it turned out being wrong.
ab^16/3C^28... That was what It got and I do not know what I am doing wrong.
If you can help me that would be great! Thanks for your time and helping me.

“-3” is just a negative number. It does not have a negative exponent, so it will not move from the numerator to the denominator.

Any number (except 0) raised to the 0 power is equal to 1. (0^0 is undefined.)

-3a^0 b^16 c^-28 = (-3)(1)(b^16)/c^28 = (-3b^16)/c^28

Here is some help on exponents:

Thank you very much, oh wow I do think that I am a little bit rusty with this stuff. Everything is all mixed up. Thanks!
