Solving equations: 3^x = 9x

Look at the graph.

That derivative is \(\displaystyle \log(3)\left(3^x\right)-9\).

If it were a test, I would think there should be a simple solution. Obviously x can't be too large [the 3^x would dominate] so I might start with integers starting at 1 and work up.
