Okay:)
Here is the question:
6x4 - 14x2 = 0
Here is the work I have done so far:
I factored out the 2x2
2x2(3x2-7)=0
But then I get stuck. I am solving for x and don't know where to go from there, can anyone explain this to me?

6x4 - 14x2 = 0

I factored out the 2x2

2x2(3x2 - 7) = 0

But then I get stuck.

Use the Zero Product Property.

(2x^2)*(3x^2 - 7) = 0

Two numbers are multiplied together (one number is the red expression; the other number is the blue expression).

We see that their product is zero. The only way you get zero, after multiplying two numbers, is if one or both numbers themselves are zero.

You need to find the value of x that causes the red expression to equal 0.

You need to find the values of x that cause the blue expression to equal 0.

That's the Zero Product Property applied.

Questions still? Please show your work, if you need more help.
