The answer should be x>2 but i can't get the way to this solution.
would you mind writing the steps for that solution?

Solve [h=2]x^3-x^2-x-2>0[/h]

Solve the associated equality: x^3 - x^2 - x - 2 = 0

Start with the Rational Roots Test; then test potential zeroes with synthetic division. Once you've taken one rational root out, apply the Quadratic Formula to find the other two roots. (here Convert the roots to factor form, using the fact that the zero "x = a" corresponds to the factor "x - a". Then do a factor table. Take the interval that works. (here)
