I feel like I am doing something wrong with this equation. Normally homework problems end up being nice numbers once you're done and this one is disgusting. I even tried to use the quadratic formula to check my work but am struggling.

49x2 - 28x = 143

What I've done so far

49x2 - 28x + (28/2)2 = 143 + (28/2)2
49x2 - 28x + 196 = 339
(This is where I start to struggle, not the best at factoring)
7(7x2 - 4x + 28) = 339

At this point I'm lost. Every other problem to be solved by completing the square has had me have something to the power of 2 so that I can square root each side to get a solution. Any advice with this problem or what the next step is would be great!

In general, majority of the problems have "non-nice" numbers

49x2 - 28x = 143

(7x)2 - 2 * 7x * 2 = 143

(7x)2 - 2 * 7x * 2 + 22 = 143 +22 = 147

(7x -2)2 = [√147]2

and continue .... solution would not be a "nice" number
