question is: The equation of a line is given. Find the slope of a line that is a. parallel b. perpendicular to the line with the given equation.

1.y=5x
2.y=1/2x+3
3.2x+4y=8

Here are just a few of the problems. How would I go about finding the answer. thank you

This is probably in your textbook: The slope of a line, written the form "y= ax+ b" is the number, "a", multiplying x. Any parallel line has the same slope while a perpendicular line has slope -1/a.
