1. If a sinusoidal function has a period of 30 degrees, how many cycles would be completed between x=-450 degree and x=450 degrees?
2. If a sinusoidal function completes 15 cycles between x=-180 degrees and x=450, what is the period?

can someone please explain this?

Are you familiar with the terms used in the questions? Where are you stuck?

Hint: Try thinking of "cycle" as meaning the same thing as "period".

Does that help?

It's basically asking (1) how many 30's are there between -450 and +450 on the number line, and (2) if there are 15 of some length between -180 and 450, how long is that length?

How would you work out how many trucks there are, if I said each truck is 30 feet long, and they are parked end to end (touching) along a road from 450 feet to the left of a sign, to 450 feet to the right? (The period of a function is the length of a cycle.)
