Sin(2x) = Y how to learn value of X?

Hi,
I'm trying to calculate angle relative to horizontal in this equation Sin(2x) = Y, lets say I know exactly what Y is, is there a way to calculate X?

What have you learned recently in your coursework with regard to inverse trigonometric functions? Specifically, what have you learned about inverse sine? How does this apply to the problem at hand?
