How do I simplify this expression?

-(4xy-10) +2 (3xy + 5)

A good first step would be to multiply the "-1" through the first parentheses, and the "+2" through the second parentheses. Then combine "like" terms.

. . . . .-1(4xy - 10) + 2(3xy + 5)

Thank you very much! I think what I did wrong was add the -1
