Ok, I cannot understand this problem, and I can't even work backwards because any calculator I try it on it does not work.

Here is the problem:

2^(2?(2))*2^(3?(2))

This is a multiple choice question, and the answers are:

A.) 4^12
B.) 4^(5?2)
C.) 2^(5?2)
D.) 2^12

I would like the answer, but also I would like to know "how" to solve it. So if someone could help me out that'd be great.

Thanks,

RULE: a^x * a^y = a^(x + y) ; did you know that?

2^[2SQRT(2)] * 2^[3SQRT(2)]
= 2^[2SQRT(2) + 3SQRT(2)]
= 2^[5SQRT(2)]

Simple nuff?
