Without using a calculator or computer, please write down the steps for simplifying the following expression (using spoilers):

6,9976,9997,0017,003 + 16 \displaystyle \sqrt{6,997 \cdot 6,999 \cdot 7,001 \cdot7,003 \ + \ 16 \ }
 
Let x=7000x = 7000, then we have:

(x3)(x1)(x+1)(x+3)+16\sqrt{(x-3)(x-1)(x+1)(x+3)+16}

(x29)(x21)+16\sqrt{(x^2-9)(x^2-1)+16}

x410x2+25\sqrt{x^4-10x^2+25}

(x25)2\sqrt{(x^2-5)^2}

7000257000^2-5

That's almost everything except the final answer, that is, stopping short.
