((x^3)+3x^2)/2x times ((5x^3)/(x^2 + 5x + 6))

i have simplified it to:

((x^2)(5x^3)) divided by 2x(x+2)

is that right???

And this problem:

((4/x)-4) divided by (2+(1/x))

i simpfied it to:

4(1-x) divided by 2x+1

is that right?

Re: simplifying rational expressions

((x^2)(5x^3)) divided by 2x(x+2)

Remember the idea of "canceling" is that both numerator and denominator have a common factor (and they must be factors, not terms). If you rewrite your expression as follows, do you see another factor that is common to both numerator and denominator?
\(\displaystyle \frac{x\cdot x \cdot 5\cdot x\cdot x\cdot x}{2\cdot x(x+2)}\)
