Hi guys,

I am stuck at solving the middle polynomial in the numerator, can't make it fit to FOIL, AC method.
Could you show me the correct method?

I thought foil was used in cooking??
Can you find two numbers \(a~\&~b\) such that \(a\cdot b=-10~\&~a+b=-3\)?
Can you find two numbers \(c~\&~d\) such that \(c\cdot d=-2~\&~c+d=1\)?

Suggestion: find a page of multiplication problems that look like \((x+4)(x-6)=?\)
Work fifty of them paying close attention to how the numbers go together.

There is one polynomial in the numerator and it is x2-3x-10. x2, 3x, -10 are the terms of the polynomial. What does it mean to solve -3x? Please ask questions that are clear. You obviously want to do something with the -3x. Fine. What exactly are you trying to do with it? Please explain?

I will give you a hint:
(1)*(-10) = -10
(3)*(no integer)=-10
(4)*(no integrer) = -10
(5)*(-2) = -10
(6)*(no integer)=-10
(7)*(no integer)=-10
(8)*(no integer)=-10
(9)*(no integer)=-10
(10)*(-1 )=-10

It shouldn't be that difficult! 2*5= 10 and 5-2= 3 and 2*1= 2 and 2- 1= 1.
