How would I simplify (9.05 x 10E -3)(2.22 x 10E -5)

E is an exponent so 10 to -3 power. 10 to -5

would it be (.0905)(.000222) or .000020091 ? Or something else.

So the expression is as follows:

. . . . .\(\displaystyle \left(9.05\, \times\, 10^{-3}\right)\, \left(2.22\, \times\, 10^{-5}\right)\)

would it be (.0905)(.000222) or .000020091 ? Or something else.
How did you get that 9.05 * 10-3 equalled 0.0905? (Check your count of the digits!) (here)

Once you correct this, your answer should come out right. ;)

Thank you! I forgot about Scientific Notation even though it was right in front of me in my notes, and used a calculator instead.

So 0.00000020091 is the simplest form correct? Since the parentheses need to be removed?

Yes, your answer is correct. As you've noted, the parentheses in no way affect the outcome. That is to say: (9.05 x 10-3)(2.22 x 10-5) = 9.05 * 10-3 * 2.22 * 10-5 = 9.05 * 2.22 * 10-8 = 0.00000020091

I would suggest giving the answer also in scientific notation.
