Similar Figures Help Needed

I keep attempting this problem, but I always seem to be getting it wrong. Would someone mind showing me the steps they took to solve this problem? Maybe the steps I am following to solve it are incorrect...

I would observe that:

[MATH]\frac{V_S}{V_L}=\frac{250}{686}=\left(\frac{5}{7}\right)^3[/MATH]
Hence:

[MATH]\frac{A_S}{A_L}=\left(\frac{5}{7}\right)^2[/MATH]
