A rectangular storage unit has dimensions 1m by 2m by 3m. If each linear dimension is increaed by the same amount.
a) What increase would result in a new storage unit with a volume 10 times the original?
b) How many possible solutions are there to this problem? Explain your answer.
c) Sketch the graph of the information presented in this problem. Show how the zeros of the function relate to the answer.
I only need help with c). I am not sure how to explain this. Once the graphic is sketched, I do notice that there is a slight curve when x = 2 which is also my answer to a) (the increase). Can anyone maybe clear this up for me?
