I'm a G.11 student and we are learning recursive sequences and Pascal's triangle.
This is the question that I'm stuck on:

Everyday at midnight, a ship leaves New York for London at the same time a ship leaves London for New York. It takes exactly 5 days to complete this journey. How many New York-Bound ships will a London-bound ship pass on its journey?

I got the answer of which the London-bound ship will pass 5 New York-bound ships, but the correct answer is apparently 11 ships. (I don't know how they got the answer of 11 ships.)
