Shifts in graph

A graph is y=f(x) and we are supposed to find what the graph would look like if the graph was y=-2f(x)-3

I know that the graph would shift down 3 but it's the -2 that I don't know what to do with. I read that if it's negative that it should be a reflection, but I don't get how to do it.

That two(-2) is actually "dangerous".

Being negative it will flip the curve.

Then it will stretch it vertically to (2) size.

In your graphing calculator - draw couple of curves to see the effect.
 
Also, if you do a vertical shift first, you must remember that you're no longer flipping over the x-axis, but at y=-3. Instead, always flip first.
