Can someone help me out, with this maths question?
I’ve picked an easy example which I know the answer to, but I don’t know how to show the working out.
Someone earns half the wage of someone else
ie.
Person A earns £50 per hour
Person B earns £25 per hour.
So clearly person B earns half of what person A earns.
There is a total sum of money £15,000 to be shared between person A and B based on their hourly rate.
So, person A would get £10,000 and person B would get £5,000.
Can someone show me the workings to arrive at £10,000 and £5,000
How would I apply the above if person A earns £50 per hour and person B earns 44% of what person A earns, and assuming the sum of money to be shared is £20,000.
How much would each person get?
